Hi, I’m Maya—and I’ve done the perfectionist thing.

If you’re the one who holds it all together, overthinks everything, and rarely slows down, you’re not alone—and you’re in the right place.

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, and I specialize in helping high performers move through anxiety, stress, and burnout using a combination of somatic therapy and cognitive behavioral tools. My approach blends nervous system regulation with practical strategies that actually work—for people who don’t want to be told to “just relax.”

In our work together, we’ll go beyond talk therapy. I’ll help you get out of your head, reconnect with your body, and build a life that’s not just high-functioning—but actually fulfilling.

Why choose to work with me?

If you're someone who’s done the talk therapy thing before and still feels stuck—there’s a reason. Insight isn’t always enough when your nervous system is in survival mode.

That’s where somatic therapy changes the game.

In our work, we won’t just analyze your thoughts. We’ll tune into how stress, anxiety, and past experiences are stored in your body—and start releasing them. Using a blend of somatic techniques and CBT, we’ll help you regulate your nervous system, reset patterns like perfectionism or overfunctioning, and finally feel more at ease in your own skin.

It’s real, holistic work for people who are ready to stop just coping—and actually feel different.

 My Story

Early in my career, I did everything “right”—on paper. But behind the scenes, I was burning out.

Working across outpatient centers, schools, and community-based programs gave me a deep understanding of stress, anxiety, and trauma. But I didn’t fully understand my own nervous system until I hit a wall myself. Anxiety, exhaustion, and the constant drive to do more eventually caught up to me.

That’s when I discovered somatic work—and everything shifted.

Learning to connect with my body helped me move from survival mode into something more sustainable. I began to understand how my own patterns of over-functioning were rooted in past experiences and nervous system wiring.

Now, in private practice, I help high-achieving adults do the same: slow down, regulate, and build a life that actually feels good. I’ve created a business and lifestyle rooted in nervous system health, and it allows me to show up with presence—for my clients, my family, and myself.

Outside of work, you’ll find me walking in nature, moving my body, knitting something cozy, catching up on my favorite shows, or spending time with the people who ground me.
